While this was intended to be a consumer website, it turns out the employees of Home Depot hate it even more than the customers. Here's your place to vent.

Worked for home depot 2 years.. went to work Fri 22 called a thief and was fired by some arrogant loss prevention guy **** who broke every civil liberties union rule in the work place. Denied me unemployment. Looking for an attorney so i can get unemployment and justification for my discrimination wrongful termination. False accusation intimation cohesion suit .. I was told i did not ring an item up on a customers cart and I knew him because of my body language .. bull as a cashier you have to be nice to everyone. I won more awards and a triple platinum winner on homer badges, walked out like a criminal. I am 52 years old. I have never been fired from a job let alone take anything from a work place. Somebody has to stop this wrongful termination.. please help me if you know any attorney that take pro bono cases.. oh by the way I was a super star.. lead sales, credit, esp you name it I won it. What a slap in the face. No one to turn to left me in a room for 2 hours getting interrogated over and over. Oh my bad did I work for the CIA 10.90 an hour.. oh reality check Homedepot.. who would believe this?

Work at store in Colorado, and yes you do get treated badly. They'll try to have you fired if your over fifty. A manager told me that all they want is, Dept. Managers and Assit Manager in thier twentys or thirtys to run the stores no one older than that. By the way he got promoted to the Golden store, imagine that. Also there was a man who had cancer, who was fired because of it, he answered phones. He was told by the store manager he was not capable of doing this and was fired. There is a lawsuit going on in Denver about this now. We also have a Dept Head, who runs Kitchen and Bath, who lies through her teeth about anyone and everything to get her way, this would be because she is not very smart. She has no respect from anyone who works for her or anyone who knows her in the building. She is very lazy, stupid and arrogant, blames everyone else for this. The managers are either to self absorbed or just to plain dumb to respond. And as far as talking to anyone in HR, they always side with the managers so this goes nowhere. They do not want to hear the truth because they live in a fantasy, all I fear is, something is going to happen to wake this company up to what is really going on and it won't be good. Even then it won't be enough. Anyone they put in Arvada, CO. store, will do just as good, it's the busiest store in CO. This manager is the biggest hinderance to moral in the building. They need to transfer him and everyone he has promoted, they are all his lackys.

The store I used to work in had 5 0ver 65 employees. Two were pressured until they went part time, then in just 30 days 2 older 65+ were fired on very flimsy grounds. Hope the economy picks up and home depot finds it's self with such a bad reputation that they can't find good employees. Better yet unionize!!!!
glad i am gone
